Manned Guarding

The role of the Security Officer today has evolved somewhat from the traditional position of “Night Watchman”. Whilst this duty may still be the requirement, the modern Security Officer may have a varied role and be responsible for directing communications within an organisation or be the front of house contact for any users of/visitors to premises.

GRB Security recognises that each assignment will have individual and site specific duties. Therefore, prior to commencing any new contract our management team will meet with the client to agree requirements. As all sites are unique this is essential in tailoring a security solution that fully meets client requirements.

All officers are selected and vetted in accordance with BS7499:2002, BS7858:2004, BS7984:2001 and BSIA codes of conduct.  All personnel will have attended a 5 day Skills For Security training and company induction programme carried out by our in-house Skills For Security approved trainer in our fully equipped training room. Further training on-site is then provided to ensure that officers are able to fulfil requirements of site specific assignment instructions. The requirements of any assignment are then constantly monitored and periodically reviewed for suitability.

As of March 2006, all officers will hold an S.I.A. (Security Industry Authority) Licence in accordance with The Private Security Industry Act and the company itself is proud to have been approved and awarded the S.I.A. “Approved Contractor” status for security guarding and keyholding.
